Gingerbread!

I have just added a new hand embroidery pattern packet to my Etsy shop! This packet features a sweet gingerbread man: and lots of embellishement patterns! There are six different gingerbread houses - this is one I stitched all in pastel colors:
I am going to make this into a tea towel as soon as I find the right trim for the bottom edge. I am thinking pom-poms.
Here is a picture of what the pattern packet looks like:

LOL My printer is dead TOO--in a couple of weeks maybe I will have to get these guys. Question for you Kim: What kind of method do you use to transfer your designs onto your fabric? I just finished up a dinosaur and there are a few spots where the iron on transfer pen is showing through--yikes! Help please!

Hi Libby! Thanks and so sorry about your printer - soooo frustrating!
Hi Sara :) I like to use graphite transfer paper to transfer my patterns. If the fabric that I am transferring to is dark colored, I use dressmakers tracing/transfer paper that comes in different colors - here is a link to a blog post I did - it has some helpful pictures: http://bigbgsd.blogspot.com/2009/07/how-i-transfer-pattern-to-my-project.html. One thing about using transfer or tracing paper is that you can use a small tipped stylus which makes a really narrow line that is much easier to cover with your stitching. I am sorry about your dinosaur stitching - can it maybe be covered up with chunkier stitching?

I love these! I hope I can get my hands on some of your patterns soon. I only know how to do back stitching. I haven't taken the time to learn others yet. I really should!
