Work In Progress - Folk Art Flower

I have a new project to share - this is a flower border from my Folk Art Flowers embroidery pattern set.

I am experimenting with several folk art inspired colors and some interesting stitches:

When I finish all the stitching, I will share the stitch information and my floss color numbers!

I have shared several projects from this pattern set - you may remember this:

And now this - so many different color palette options for flowers!

Folk Art Flowers Project - Part Two

I finished the embroidery on my flower project that I first blogged about here.

For the flower, I used Long and Short Stitch as a fill.  The greenish yellow center is made up of French Knots and Straight Stitch.
The green leaves are stitched with Fishbone Stitch.

For the bright green curved stems, I used Back Stitch.  The small green leaves are Lazy Daisy Stitch.  The accent dots are French Knots.
For the purple berries, I used rows and rows of Back Stitch:

For all the floss I used, here are the color numbers:

You may notice that all the shades of purple have the same number!  I used a color variations skein of perle cotton floss and cut lengths that included the colors I liked.

Folk Art Flowers Project - Part One

My current project is embroidering this motif from my Folk Art Flowers embroidery pattern set.

I am using a mixture of perle cotton and six strand cotton floss.  I will make sure to post my progress, the stitches used and my color palette.

Folk Art Flowers Embroidery

This motif I am currently stitching is from a new embroidery pattern set available in my Etsy shop!
This one is called Folk Art Flowers.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a screen shot I shared that showed my in-progress drawing of this set:

These folk art style flowers are so fun to draw and perfect for hand embroidery.  I am really looking forward to stitching all of them!
