Embroidered Winter Theme Napkin

I have the most beautiful winter themed table napkins to share.  These are hand embroidered.  The winter berries and snowflakes motif is from my Winter hand embroidery pattern.

The branches are embroidered using the Stem Stitch, the berries are all Satin Stitch, the large snowflakes are Straight Stitch and the smaller flakes are French Knots.

I used a winter inspired color palette of white, red, blue, gray and a sort of mauve-brown.  The sparkle is provided by Kreinik's multicolored blending filament.

Embroidered Holly Leaves

I have a new project finish to share - this holly leaves and berry motif from my Winter embroidery pattern.

For the holly berries, I used two sizes of cup sequins.  The large sequin is a 12mm size and the smaller ones are 7mm.

The holly leaves are stitched with the Fishbone Stitch. The leaf center lines are Back Stitch.  I added accents to the leaves with Straight Stitches using Kreinik blending filament.
The swirly line is stitched with the Double Knot Stitch and then whipped with blending filament:

The sequins are attached with a 1.5mm glass seed bead stitched through the sequin center.

The floss is all perle cotton.  Here are the color numbers:

Winter Embroidery Pattern Project

This winter motif is from my Winter embroidery pattern:

I think this is a perfect color palette for imparting a snowy and frosty feeling:

I used the jewel effects metallic floss from DMC for the berries and lighter colored leaves

The list of stitches that I used on this project is as follows:  the small snowflakes are made with the Pistil Stitch, the berries and the large snowflake are Back Stitch.  The text and flourish line under the text are done with Stem Stitch and Whipped Stem Stitch. The leaves are done with Fishbone Stitch, the frame is done with Running Stitch and the whole motif is dotted with French Knots

Here are the color numbers of the floss I used:
