I am just about finished with the stitching on my Washington State embroidery project.
This big motif is an outline of the state with some recognizable features.
Rhododendron blossoms, cherries, apples, wheat, a Chinook salmon, raindrops, fir trees, mountain ranges a tugboat, the Capitol building and an orca.
I think my next project from this pattern set will be the Sasquatch...
I have a new embroidery pattern available in my Etsy shop.
This one is called Washington State and includes motifs of many of the popular features of the Evergreen State.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen this screen shot taken while I was drawing this pattern set:
Currently, I am embroidering this state outline motif:
Notice the Fishbone Stitch I used for all the leaves? I used the Long and Short Stitch for the rhododendron blossoms, the Straight Stitch for the wheat heads, the Back Stitch for the text, the cherries and the Granny Smith apple:
I think this project will take a bit of time, since there are so many different items to stitch!
