Mushroom Embroidery

This sweet mushroom border is from  my Owl embroidery pattern set.  This was on my work-in-progress list since last November!  I worked a bit on it this week and finished it.

The stitches I used are Long and Short Stitch for the mushrooms, Satin Stitch for the mushroom spots, Back Stitch for the grass, Cross Stitch for the red x's, Couching Stitch for the swirly lines and French Knots for the dots.

Here are the floss color numbers:

Hello Kim,

I think the colors you chose for this project are so perfect for it! This is such a sweet project, I love the mushrooms!! I think I need a pillow with this pattern as the corner borders.

Hi Kim,
This pattern reminds me of Roald Dhal and Alice in wonderland a particular colour illustrated edition for children.

Hi Darlene - Lol! Thank you - I think a pillow is a great idea. These mushrooms look really good with the owls from this set too - there may be a pillow in my future as well :)

Hello Mallika! Thank you so much for your message! Yes - I am posting today about a new method for transferring embroidery patterns to fabric. I really like this method :)
