Snow! wip

I have a new work in progress to show! This sweet little snowman is just one of several featured in my new Snow! embroidery pattern packet - here is what the packet looks like:
Here is a close up view of the lettering - this is in back stitch. I used three strands of this beautiful wintry blue embroidery floss. I am also using this white cotton pearl floss - this is turning out to be the perfect floss for the snowman because it looks so chunky and almost glistens...I bet it will be perfect for snowflakes too!Does anyone happen to know the dmc color of this blue? For some reason, I did not record the number! I have a whole color range of blue floss but this is all I have left of the wintry blue I am using for this project:
I better save this to match at the store!

Hi Kim!...How long have you had that beautiful wintry blue?...I have a DMC color chart but I don't see anything like that on there...Is this color fairly new?...It's hard to tell from the chart and pix, but the only one that looks like it might be close is #996 or 3845 or 3846, but the last two might be too dark!...

Kim...I just went on line to yarntree.com/075dmcolors.jpg and you can see close up the color chart with really nice lighting and it looks even more like it might be that #996...Hope this helps! :) ...I know I get frustrated when I can't find a favorite color again... Annie

I'm looking at my floss, and I think it may be 3845. But, it could be 996, I am out of that particular color, so I can't tell.

Mahalakshmi - Thank you!
Annie - I bought this floss about a month ago. It looks so nice with brown - I wanted to use it on some of the gingerbread patterns. Thank you for the link! That is the best color chart, I added it to my favorites - it is going to be SO helpful. yarntree.com is a really nice site too.
Annie/JigsawJones - Thank you! now that I am looking at the floss pictures on yarntree, I see that this has to be #3846! Thank you so much for all your thoughtful help!

Kim!...How funny!..I thought sure that #3846/45 would be a little dark!...I've used my chart right in the store on occasion and even then there is a variance in the shades sometimes!...I'm going to have to buy that beautiful pearl floss and this blue!..You always choose the perfect colors for your projects!..Annie

Is that the same used in http://bigbgsd.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html ?

Annie - Thank you! You will love the pearl floss-it really looks beautiful and it is so fun to stitch with.
AliceGap - that #3843 is one of my favorites - I've used that quite a bit on my 100 stitches, this new blue color looks a lot like it - thank you for reminding me of it - I just looked through my floss and I am out of that color too! :(

Hi, What a lovely blog you have,
I already met you on the embroidery network, now I am happy I found your blog, via feeling stitchy.
I will surely return, but my doodling stitching is lying still at the moment! To many work and some bears to attend to also :)
See ya
