I embroidered this using a pattern from my Thanksgiving hand embroidery pattern set.
The oval embroidery hoop is perfect for the horizontal layout of this "gather" motif
The letters are all stitched using Back Stitch. The wheat is Lazy Daisy Stitch, Straight Stitch, and Stem Stitch for the stems. The ribbon is Back Stitch.

Lazy daisy is such a pretty stitch and it looks just like wheat ears with the straight stiches. I love the ties on your bow too.

I think Mallika said it perfectly, "Elegant Design". I'd like to say it this way, this stitchery is "simply elegant". It's simple in it's design, but oh so elegant in it's execution.
