Remember this wip border I have been working on?
I finally finished the stitching. It has been sitting in my hoop for weeks with everything stitched except one candy cane and some french knots! Now it's complete:
Next up is this little gingerbread house:
Lots of stitching left to do :)
I'm not totally sold on the colors I've used so far. Mainly, I am not sure about having each window a different color:
I am stitching the roof with the
interlaced band stitch from 100 Stitches! I want to use this stitch here because it looks like gingerbread frosting:
I wasn't sure it was going to work but now I love it and can't wait to finish it:
Speaking of finishing, I am done stitching the little crab...
in his underwater scene:
Now I just need to finish some last minute Christmas decorating!

The gingerbread roof stitch is outstanding---great use of stitches there. I think the windows look good the way they are now.
Love the crab and the sea weed color variation on the left is sooo pretty:)
Kim! I just love the house and border! As always a wonderful job.
Pretty colors too! I am framing up some of my work
For gifts and have my next pattern ready to trace!

Love the house and that roof is going to look amazing!!!
Oh every one of those is so darling. I actually love your colors! They are different and refreshing. Even the different colored windows. You are a beautiful designer and stitcher girlie!
The windows are perfect being different colors. Using variegated thread for the coral was a superb idea too. Your handwork is always so delightful!
too cute!...the underwater scene and the gingerbread!...i like the different color windows...have you tried a yellow for one of the windows?...great stitch to use on the roof of the house...!
I LOVE that roof! The whole thing is adorable! And I like the windows too.
Thank you! I am so glad to hear that everyone thinks the window colors are working. I've stitched more of the picture and the colors are really looking nice to me now.
Sara - Thanks :) The roof stitching is turing out to be my favorite part!
Miss Paula - Thank you! I am trying to finish stitching some gifts too - I hope you post some pictures of what you are framing!
Farah - Thank you! I will definitely be visiting your beautiful blog!
Libby - Thank you! I will post a picture when it is finished.
John'aLee - Thank you for your sweet comment :)
Mom Wald - Thank you! I LOVE the variegated pearl cotton, I want to use it on everything. It is just perfect for the underwater look too!
Annie - Thanks! Yellow is one of my favorite colors but none of the yellows I have look good in this scene with the green I had already stitched with. My yellows are either too soft and disappear or clash with the tree color.
Hillbilly Handiworks - Hello and thank you! I can't wait to finish stitching this one up!
What a great work!! So nice! :)
