I have a work in progress to share. I wanted to stitch some autumn trees so I am using this tree line motif from my Sly Fox embroidery pattern set.
I selected some floss colors I thought would work well for autumn:
But I changed my color palette and used these:
Three of the trees have accent lines, I am not sure if I am going to add these lines in a contrasting color or just leave all of the trees a solid color?
Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful choice of colours. It reminds me of two things. One the triangular pennants that are put up all through the trekking routes in the Himalayas and two, the ice candies sold on thin cylindrical wooden sticks when I was little.

Hi Mallika :) Thank you! I will be posting all the floss color numbers soon as well as the stitch information.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful project! I thought the first colors you chose were pretty, but the second choices are so much better, just gorgeous. I will be curious if you add the accent lines, how they will turn out. Right now the trees are "simply elegant", but the accent lines may add a lot, who knows? ;-)
Thank you Darlene! I really like the accent lines on the pattern so I hope they will work well on the finished project!
