Two wips

I have two new wips to share, both are salad related!

On this first one, I am at my favorite stage of any stitching project - deciding on floss colors.  I love all these colors but I can't quite decide which taupe/brown/tan I should use for the mushrooms?

Here is a look without all the floss bobbins to distract you:

On the second wip, I have the pattern transferred and one corner partially stitched:

This is going to be a tea towel, I have pinned up the hem to better show what it will look like.  I am really excited to finish this one because I have a new idea for the hem trim.  It is going to involve the sewing machine :)

Love these and can't wait to see how they turn out. I finished two stitching towel projects last month. Loved doing them.

Oh my! This design is so amazing! Concerning the colors choice, I think the mushrooms are better which tan. Lovely wip, dear! Congrats!

Fun!

What stitch is that on the lettuce?

My 5 year old is almost done w/ her very first project. I cant wait to post it up on Flickr. :D

What fun! Both are darling projects. I say stick to tan and perhaps a darker brown for inside on the mushrooms! :)

Hi Madrona Tree - On the lettuce, I am using two lines of back stitch in different greens. I like the way they look, it sort of looks like I used the cable stitch! I will be looking on Flickr - are you going to post the picture in the Embroidery group?
Hi Denise! - Thank you! Yep - I think the tan does look best - more mushroom-y :)

Sounds like everyone agrees tan is best for mushrooms! Picking colours is fun :) This is looking really good!

Love the look of the two lines of backstitch! At first glance I thought it was chain stitch until I click on picture and was able to appreciate the details.
Beautiful!

Lol Monika! Thank you - I am really happy with the two lines too. It is fun to do two colors side by side too.
