Christmas tree!

I am stitching up a Christmas tree featuring some metallic floss ornaments:

I love the look of this metallic floss!  The tree is stitched in regular six strand cotton floss, the bow and planter are stitched in satin floss:

These are non-traditional Christmas colors but I think they are really festive and pretty!  Here are the dmc numbers of the floss I used.

I've had a terrible time using that metallic floss. It becomes a tangled mess almost instantly! I would really appreciate any tips you can give me, because I think it would give certain projects (like this one) great "pop."

Hi Farah - Thank you!
Ninu- Thank you!
Simone - Thanks! I am just loving these colors too!
Kwilt Noob - The only tips I have come up with are: making sure you use fairly short lenghts of floss because all the going back and forth through the fabric seems to shred the metallic finish off of some of the threads; - and handle the floss as little as possible...try not to take stitches out and re-stitch (something I am always doing if I don't think my stitching looks even!) It is a nightmare to work with but so worth it!
Jules - Thank you - I love the look of metallic threads - especially for Christmas projects :)Thanks Digna!
